Arched Beauty was founded in February of 2018. I myself, Shantell, the CEO began studying eyebrows in August of 2017. Here’s a little background of why I admire and take pride in eyebrows. About 4 years ago I got my eyebrows waxed at a local nail salon and my experience was awful. At that point, I was too afraid to let anyone else touch my eyebrows. I began to search and try to find ways to grow my eyebrows back due to them being waxed so thin. With that being said, I took care of my own eyebrows. I began watching brow tutorials online to help learn faster. Eventually, I started to arch them myself about once every two weeks, being very careful not to take off too much hair. I started getting lots of compliments on my brows from many people. Then was starting to get asked the question "Can you do mine?". I really enjoyed` maintaining my own and knew that many women struggled with keeping their brows in shape and or have had a bad experience just as i did. Not long after,  I decided to offer the service to others.

 

I offered arching with the brow razor and or filling them in with brow pencil. As my clientele slightly grew, I then started offering tinting, which is a semi permanent coloring that lasts about 1-2 weeks. In between arching, tinting, and filling brows with brow pencil, I came across an amazing technique which is known as Microshading or Ombre Brow.

 

The Microshading technique gives you more of a soft powder brow look. This technique is done with a shading machine pen, in which a small needle is inserted to shade top layer of skin with pigment color. This gives a full shaded soft brow look, lasting 1-2 years or more. This technique is known as permanent makeup or cosmetic tattooing. I chose to pursue Microshading because it helps lesson the amount of time women spend filling in their brows everyday. Also to help those who have lost their brows due to health reasons such as cancer.
